Home care in Logan covers a few different funding streams and it is worth knowing which one you are on, because it changes what you are entitled to and how we deliver it. The three main streams are NDIS (for participants under 65 with disability), Commonwealth Support at Home (for over 65s, replacing the old Home Care Package system from 1 July 2025), and DVA (for eligible veterans). Humility Support Services works across all three.
Our dedicated Support at Home page and Support at Home program page go into the Commonwealth program in more detail. This page focuses on home care as delivered across Logan specifically.

A typical home care client in Logan might receive a combination of personal care, housework, meal support, transport, and clinical input. We build the weekly schedule around what actually matters: safety in the shower, food in the fridge, medication on time, getting to GP appointments, and having enough human contact to not feel isolated. That is it, really. Everything else is detail.
Daily personal activities including showering, dressing, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and medication prompts. Our workers are trained to do this respectfully and on the client’s terms.
Household tasks including vacuuming, mopping, laundry, dishes, linen changes, and light tidying. We do the level of cleaning that keeps a home safe and livable rather than a forensic detail clean.
We can cook on-site, prep meals for the freezer, or take you to the shops. In Logan, most of our clients use a mix: a fortnightly grocery trip with a worker, and weekly meal prep to cover the week ahead.
Travel and transport for appointments (Logan Hospital, specialist clinics, allied health), shopping, social events, or community activities. We drive and we accompany.
Community nursing for wound care, catheter management, PEG feeding, medication oversight, and chronic disease management. Having nursing and support in the same provider means one care plan, one coordinator, and no duplicated conversations.
Pricing depends on your funding source. On NDIS, hourly rates are set by the NDIS price guide and published publicly. On Commonwealth Support at Home, the government funds a portion based on your assessed package level, and you contribute based on a means-tested income assessment. On DVA, most community nursing and in-home care is fully funded for eligible Gold Card holders.
What we do not do is hide fees. If there is going to be a charge, we tell you upfront. If you are unsure which funding stream applies to you, call us, and we can work it out together or refer you to the right place (My Aged Care, NDIA, or DVA).
A lot of our new Logan clients are switching from another home care provider because of poor communication, cancelled shifts, or rotating staff. If you are thinking about switching, we handle the changeover paperwork on your behalf. You do not have to chase your current provider for a service agreement end date; we do.
