Support Worker Heathwood

Heathwood is close enough to our Pallara office that our support worker roster in this area is some of the deepest we have. We have workers who live in Heathwood, Pallara, and Forest Lake, which means they are genuinely local to participants in these suburbs. Short travel times translate to more reliable shift coverage, fewer cancellations, and better continuity of support.

What Our Heathwood Workers Do

The day-to-day work ranges from morning personal care through to community access, skill-building, and overnight support. Typical shifts:

How We Recruit

We hire workers for Heathwood who want to work locally and stay for the long term. High turnover is one of the biggest quality issues in the sector, and we do what we can to avoid it: reasonable rostering, real support for our team, career pathways for workers who want to move into coordination or nursing, and actual debriefs after difficult shifts.

Matching

First meeting with our coordinator, we talk about what you want. Gender, age, personality, interests, cultural background, and any specific preferences. We propose one or two workers, you trial them, and if it is not working we rotate. We do not expect you to stick with a match that is not right.
