Forest Lake is one of the largest and most established suburbs in Brisbane’s south-west, with a diverse population and a high concentration of NDIS participants. The suburb centres on Forest Lake Shopping Centre and the lake itself, with plenty of community infrastructure: the library, the community centre, schools, medical centres, and sports facilities. Humility Support Services operates across Forest Lake daily and our Pallara base is only a few minutes away.
We deliver the full range of NDIS supports:
A big part of what makes Forest Lake workable for NDIS participants is the community infrastructure. The lake walking path is accessible, the shopping centre is compact and easy to navigate, and the community centre runs regular programs that suit participants working on social and community participation goals. Our support workers know the area, which means they can propose activities rather than just escort you to ones you have already chosen.
Forest Lake has a very mixed NDIS population: children, teenagers, working-age adults, and older participants transitioning to aged care services. We work with all ages and a wide range of disabilities, including autism, intellectual disability, physical disability, psychosocial disability, and acquired brain injury.
Forest Lake has a large multicultural community. Cultural and language matching is part of how we assign workers. Tell us your preferences at the first meeting and we match where we can.
We work with NDIA-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed plans. Administration is our problem, not yours.
